Very nice!
I thought I was completed after my first ar, now I now have three ar’s and I’m still adding or changing within the three!
Thinking about that special fourth one too!
I wanted a base to start with carbine, but without the normal stock and hand guard. It will change as my needs/preferences develop. As for the yanhee hill front sight, I liked the hk style front as I feel it gives me a more comfortable sight picture. If the yankee hill becomes problematic, I can swap it out with another more robust sight/gas block. This is an ever evolving process as what works for me is still being ironed out and tested. After a few more houndred rounds, we’ll see what I need/want to change to make the gun more reliable. Good think I have this site and you lads for a knowledgebase…
Ahh! I didn’t go with the “F” marked FSB because I like the idea of folding the sight down. I plan on swooping up a H1. If it doesn’t pan out, I can always switch to a “F” mark FSB, or low-pro gas block and cover it with a ff rail some other flip up front sight.
DD makes a 1/9. Bravo has them on sale. I know there was some issue about the gas port being too small, but well see if that is an issue.
I am not too worried about the lpk or yhm fip sight yet. After 1K rounds, I will reassess the parts. I want to wait because I might go w/ a ff handguard in the near future. I want to see for myself as this is a “learning” rifle. I gladdly accept input. Thanks!
