Well today I recieved my ghost 3.5lb connector and a ny1 trigger spring. I am not confident that the ny1 trigger spring is installed correctly. I did however search many threads and saw some youtube videos and it appears I was installing it correct…
Without the ny1 spring the new connector by itself works fine. However with the ny1 spring when I fire the pistol does not fire it just clicks and somehow is resetting without racking the slide. Any ideas? this btw is a terribly annoying problem as breaking the weapon back down when the trigger will reset after dry firing is a big hassle.
There is a curve to both the ejector housing and NY1 spring. They should match up (i.e. the open end of the NY1 spring assembly should face toward the muzzle). Also make sure you have the cross portion of the trigger bar on top of the NY1 spring.
There are several youtube videos that cover installation of this part.
I took some pics of my Armorers manual so you can see if yours is installed like this.
The thing I was always taught was the curve of the NY Trigger matches the curve of the trigger housing and grip. Rounded part to the rear, the spring is facing forward.
so I kept pulling the trigger for a while and it finally started engaging the firing pin. However for some reason everyonce in a while it will not engage the firing pin but it still resets.
the other thing I noted was the trigger sits further forward after it has fired. my g22 sits almost all the way back where th g17 does not anymore.
I did make sure that the ny1 was clicked into place and it was. It seems to be working fine now but I cant help but feel it could still have an issue since I didnt really change anything :fie:
