problem solved !!

i just did something very stupid . i dropped a spent shell casing ( lake city 556) into the chamber and let the bolt go via the bolt catch . and yeh now the bcg is freaking stuck . i was able to get the lower off . it seems the bolt is stuck in the lug area - i tried to coax the bcg back with a rubber malet i tried the cleaning rod down the barrel trick and i tried pulling back on the bcg and the charging handle with my hands . the bcg moves a little forward and back but only i’d say a few mm’s . any suggestions on how to fix my stupidity ?

Have you tried mortoring it out?

put it back together and slam the stock (collapsed) against the ground while pulling on the charging handle.

didn’t work . i tried lubing the bolt , and i get a little more play . thanks for the suggestion

thanks again UVvis , sent you a pm ! stupid is as stupid does ! i’m going to put the rifle back in the safe now .

I gotta ask was it an accident?

i didnt realize that the shell case swelled that much once it was fired . i was trying to see how the new rifle extracted without loading a live round , and being i dont have any snap caps i dropped the empty in there . i knew it was a bad idea once i hit the bolt release . i got some good advise and was able to clear the stuck case . yeah i’m a dumby - feel free to laugh !!!

I’m sure glad you’re here. It makes me feel really smart;).

Don’t ya just hate that feeling of when you just realize you’ve gone and done something really stupid? I’m no stranger to that feeling. Glad to hear you rectified your problem:p

POUR SOME CLP DOWN THE BARREL,and set the rifle on the but after 10 min repeat the slam the but pull the chargeing handel hard again. if that fails rmove the upper and use a solid cleaneing rod down the barrel and smack it with a hammer that will dislodge it .
