First, good evening to fellow gunners. I am brand new to this site, although I am certainly not new to guns, having shot since a lad, with military experience, and I try to get to the range as often as I can afford to do so.
I just late last week purchased a brand new Colt Match Target
AR15M4 carbine. It has 6 position adjustable butt stock. My stupid question (being an AR FNG) is how do you adjust it? I took the inset screw from what I thought was the lever or whatever below the stock with an allen wrench, but nothing moves and I do not want to force it until told otherwise. I “assumed” this was an easy adjustment meant for the field, not the workbench?
As set up I need a few more inches of reach to the fore guard to be comfortable. I spent several hours at the range Sunday morning putting 150 rounds through paper. Man, what a gun right out of the box. I was just taking it for a test drive, next time back I am going to attempt to sight it properly.
Any heads up on the adjustable stock would be greatly appreciated. I now look forward to me and my new “friend” learning a lot about the weapon. Thanks in advance.
