Guys I bought 5k of primers and left them in my shop. When I blew up my 1911 I quit reloading for a while. Anyway, should I use these primers? I hate to waste them. These are for plinking rounds so I don’t care about a dead primer. Any other potential problems?
Also watch your powder level and stuff. Just pay attention when you load… Get rid of all distractions. I have never loaded a squib and don’t ever intend to in the future.
On the OP’s note, I just opened another 1K of Federal Primers from ~1982 or so. So old they are in the old red and yellow sleeves, in plastic trays with the primers sitting on the side.
This is the 3rd 1K from the 5K case I’ve opened. so far all the other ones went bang…Aside from 5 that I crushed…
