I am wondering if this ammo is any good? Its a 55 grain Yugoslavia xm193 current production, below are the specs:
XM193 is a Federal Cartridge Co. brand, iirc. The regular designation for that round is just M193.
And yes, it’s good ammo. I trust it more than Federal’s XM193, as I and a few others here and on TOS have found they (federal) tend to load them very hot to the point of popping primers, even in 5.56 chambers.
The PPU M193 ammo is good to go. I’ve shot nothing else for the last couple of years, and haven’t had any ammo failures to speak of.
where have you been buying it and how much have you been paying?
I buy from Wideners, it fluctuates around .35 a round usually.
That’s good ammo. Being in Alabama, Wideners won’t sell here due to some trade deal. The Yugo’s cars may not be worth a shit, but the ammo is great.
PPU M193 ammo is GTG. I’ve fired about 1000 rds of it from several carbines and it’s always been hot and reliable. Accuracy was about on par with any other M-193loading.
