POTUS Oath and some comments

So I just wanted to put this out there and see what y’all think. I am by no means, educated in politics, nor do I wish to be, but just reading a few things here and there the oath of office stuck out…
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

The Bill of Rights, which is part of the Constitution is the holder of the 2nd amendment.

Also, That lady who wants the AWB started up again does not even realize the purpose of the 2nd. It is not for hunting or target shooting… it is to protect the citizens (or allow the citizens to protect themselves) against a government who’s intentions are other than the Constitution intended.
For protection, I would rather have 20-30 rounds available rather than a single shot bolt action deer rifle.

I posted this on facebook earlier today, because I am not sure if many people have actually read the 2nd amendment or the constitution lately;

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”

This is the second amendment to The Constitution of the United States of America. A militia is a group of citizens, not commissioned or enlisted soldiers. Well regulated meaning well supplied, trained and equipped with effective arms. As you can see the right to keep and bear arms, meaning posses at home and carry in public, should not be infringed. This right is not given for hunting or sporting purposes, but to ensure the security of our free state. The constitution gives us the right to arms for defense, personal and as an ultimate form of checks and balances to protect the freedom our fore fathers won for us in the revolutionary War.

Tragedies will happen but we as free citizens must realize that trading constitutional rights for a false sense of security will not stop evil people.

You posted this on Facebook because this is a Facebook sort of topic that doesn’t belong in the technical subforums of this site.

Not having the number of posts necessary to post in M4C’s General Discussion subforum (requires 200 productive posts; read the rules in the stickied threads) is NOT a go-code for posting it somewhere else because “I must be HEARD…!”

There’s also numberous threads along these lines, anyway. We’re not fans of needless duplicates. Make that your “North Star” for posting guidance, please.
