Eric “Nuke 'Em” Swalwell Wants To Take Your Guns And Jail Anyone Who Resists
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has decided to run for president on an anti-Second Amendment platform (while exhibiting a clear lack of understanding about guns), and has reiterated his desire to imprison Americans who don’t hand over banned weapons.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Jake Tapper on Sunday, Swalwell - who last year joked about nuking gun owners who refuse to give up their firearms - discussed his longstanding proposal to ban so-called ‘assault weapons.’
TAPPER: So, gun control is the central plank in your campaign.You wrote last year – quote – “We should ban possession of military- style semiautomatic assault weapons. We should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law. And we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons.” Criminal prosecution for keeping assault weapons. What’s the punishment for people who don’t hand in their guns? Do they go to jail?
SWALWELL: Well, Jake, they would, but I also offer an alternative, which would be to keep them at a hunting club or a shooting range. And the reason I have proposed this is because these weapons are so devastating.
My take: Eric “Swallows-well” will just be another “also-ran” in the long list of lefty gun grabbing goons who end up in the dung heap of history.
If there’s one benefit of the Trump presidency is it’s caused these creatures to come out of the shadows, closets, etc where they hid and pretended they gave a damn about 2A Rights. They’re no longer pretending they don’t want to take all guns away, or willing to arrest people that don’t comply, etc.
Oh c’mon, you only go to jail if you refuse to surrender unconditionally and eagerly accept dhimmi status. Much like so many ethnic minorities have done in the past, just coincidentally a few years before being genocided. What could possibly go wrong?
It’s great having them rip the mask off and show the undecided middle just how nutso they are. The more they can be encouraged to do this the more likely we are to have a majority of the population tell them GTFO before any unpleasantness is involved.
Listen folks, DO NOT underestimate your opponent. Times are changing and they have changed. That is why idiots like this are emboldened to come out and say crazy things. He has a base that agrees with him.
A base that agrees, and FAR to many gun owners that would happily comply if things were “reasonable” enough…
If you read his statement, there’s a lot of “reasonable justification” for people to play along with there…

My take: I have a better idea–how about gun-grabbing politicians will be no more?
I think it would be funny if Swalwell was enjoying dinner with his family, got some food stuck in his throat and graphically choked to death in front of them.
