One of the pup a few years ago when we lived in Montana. Nikon D3000 and a cold backside from laying in the snow.

Two of many shots at the First Saturday of the Month Car Show in Scottsdale, AZ. A free event that has some of the most beautiful, rare, and valuable examples of automotive ‘art’ in the home of the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction.

It was a cold day (for DC) and a weekday so I literally had the Mall all to my self. It was an eerie experience but did allow me to get some cool pics minus humans. I don’t tend to like people in my pics.
Awesome Will. I plan to visit the memorial one day. A bucket list thing.

Totally worth it. Very moving and 'Murican. Not sure if this breaks the thread rule but:
The full poem:
“When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.” - Tecumseh
This is not a good photo but it means a lot to me as it catches the essence of my daughter - focused and determined - as she wins the hurdles at a middle school track meet several years ago. Shot with a Canon EOS T3 on the Athletic burst setting.

McPhaul Bridge near Yuma, AZ.
I grew up watching old westerns with my dad, so when we started coming out to Yuma to visit my grandparents (who wintered there from central California) I was naturally drawn to the area. In fact I liked the southwest so much I began my career in southern AZ. I went back to Yuma for training a few months back and while I was there hit a few of my old stomping grounds, including the abandoned McPhaul Bridge.

Pretty sure this was in the Sequoia National Forest. Was a foggy morning and snapped this one with the phone. I like it though.
I like it as well, fog is pretty awesome in pictures when it shows up right.
Stickman,
Thank you, Sir. That means a hell of a lot coming from you (I’m a big admirer of your photos). I really appreciate it.
P.
That’s a good looking pup. Awesome picture, but that’s not surprising! Loving your new threads Stickman.

This is one I took of Dakota after she found my youngest daughter’s binky.
I like this one because my dog looks hilariously foolish.

Haha that’s great
I love this thread, these are great pics. ![]()
Nature is beautiful but so is color, i’m sure I’m one of the few on this board who loves lowriders. Grew up around them, and I can’t help but love them.
The #45 FLMS Porsche 997 GT3 RSR (Pat Long driving) from the 2012 Sebring 12 Hours:
Taken with a D300 and 70-300 lens going into the braking zone for Turn 10.
I like this photo, even though it’s a far cry from the work of the better motorsports photographers, because of a few reasons
- It was my first time shooting with my (new to me) DSLR at the race, I’ve still got a lot to learn
- My Sebring pictures tend to take me to my “happy place”
- It was my first decent snap with a blurred foreground/background without everything being a blur.
