Possibility of melting a pressure switch cord...

Couldn’t find much with the search function…

When using a pressure pad with a flashlight…what are the chances of getting the handguards hot enough to melt the cord (or the zip-ties)? The handguards in question would be Troy TRX. My plan is to attach a Surefire M951 that I have had laying around for about a year. I will probably be zip-tieing the extra cord to the handguard.

I have zip tied SF switches to the rail (through the vents) and gotten barrels plenty hot. I think they would be ok. I wouldn’t do the same to a 240B but then again Im not shooting 762 at cyclic rate.

Cool beans, man. That’s what I kinda figured too…I won’t be getting the bbl red hot. But…you never know…
