I’m looking for the original scope mount for the Poly-Tech Legend National Match. I looked everywhere. No luck…anyone have one or a lead ?
No idea if this is what you are talking about or not? This is a picatinny like rail that replaces the rear sight.
I have been wondering if this item would work well for an Aimpoint T-1 type optic on an AK?
I mean, it’s very similar in design to the Larue AK IronDot, but not sure if its a good buy or not? I am thinking that it never became popular, due to having to remove the rear sight in order to use this mount. ???

You are looking for the mount that attaches to the original triangualar mount found on National Match rifles.
From what I understand some NM rifles were imported with scopes and mounts and some without. And no scope and mount combinations were imported by themselves. So if that is the case, there are a lot of NM rifles that will never have a scope and mount. This is why you see a few of them with the original mount removed and a more standard AK rail installed in it’s place.
Although the rail that replaces the rear sight is interesting, and i have never seen that before, no dice. Thanks though…
Steyr Aug had it right ! That is the scope mount that i have been after for some time now. I have seen pictures of it, but never saw one in person. I hate to do it, but it looks like im going to break down and remove old cleat and put on a Russian mount…The National Match is an AWESOME SHOOTER…this gun needs optics…
I wonder how hard it would be to fabricate a mount that would attach to the NM. If companies can make rails for AR180s then somebody should be able to knock out mounts for these. Personally I wouldn’t modify it, you will kill the value of the rifle. I’d do a handguard rail and scout mount a scope before I made a permanent modification.
The NM ain’t that accurate, like like a SVD or anything. You could also pick up a PSL cheap if all you wanted as an accurized AK.
