The current five are your options for right now, but you can always create your own starter group here:

With enough participation and activity it can be put into the poll for a vote.

Only 36 total votes? Looks like the Georgia boys will be getting their own forum if this keeps up…

so is there a time frame to declare peach state shooters group? or does this poll close as soon as the runner up wins :stuck_out_tongue:

Frickin’ lazy Vegas shooters! Get on here and vote! :stuck_out_tongue: I think Vegas is in the minority on this board… Rider & I are probably on here most frequently.

The poll will go for a couple of months.

What is the point of having it go on for months?

YOU posted a week ago about how how there were only 36 votes, there were only 3 votes since. I fail to see how a few more months of this makes any sense at all, or what you are expecting to happen in those months.

By limiting the amount of regional groups you are not helping anyone. I would think the staff would want to do everything they could to help get regional groups started and promoted. I am sure there are plenty of members that have no idea that there even are other groups, or how to find them.

Would you at least add some general regions, like SE, NE, Central, SW, NW, so people have a place to post regional stuff and get groups started?

Having a forum with 2 people in it, is not worth our time to setup. The more people that vote for a certain “group” means that it will most likely be more active.

The training groups are very easy to find as they are in the training section of the forum.

You have 2 groups in the poll that have as many votes or more than their member numbers. If you would have had a poll in the beginning about what groups should be first, half of the ones you made would not be there.

I think you are making this more difficult than it needs to be. Like I already asked, can you make some broad regional categories? If a certain group in that region needs their own group because it is taking over that board you can give it to them. It would also let people post about their region to see if there are others in their area since there is really no where to post those things.

Right now it isnt regional, it is specific places/states for the most part. Half the country isnt represented in the regional groups, and there is no where for people to post if they do not live in those regions.

I still do not see why you are not trying to promote as many regional groups as possible. There are also people that travel for work and for recreation, live close to other states, or are willing to travel and are forced to ask on the general board.

Why not make it easier for people to meet up and enjoy the sport and make some friends?

Well there has not been a vote in weeks. Just to keep track there are 45 votes.

Is this more of you just bitching to bitch and have something to do, or are you in an area that currently isn’t being catered to with the groups that exist? And even if there was a group for your area, would you participate in any of their events?

It is impossible to please some people - they would bitch if you handed them a bag of money.

What other site gives the (non-paying!) membership a say in future forums/groups? With the exception of the PA/OH/WV Study Group, every other group listed was started by a regular member - now they are permanent forum features.

Personally, I think it’s pretty cool… but not everyone agrees apparently.

Well there is a starter group in my area, which is one of the groups in the poll. I also live relatively close to 2 other states, and I usually travel to quite a few states during the year. If you were asking why I suggested adding broad regional categories, that is the reason.

Yes, if there were events I would participate. But feel free to continue to accuse/insinuate that I am a troll.

walks like a duck, talks like a duck…

I still have not heard what the reasoning behind this poll going on for months.
