Al fights dirty. 
Operating from the mindset that I would win the fight, I need to know which James Bond before making my final decision. 
Well certainly not that MooreDaltonBrosnan queer. 
I will say I do like the most recent Bond. Far less sophisticated than his predecessors.
I’d rather face any of those characters (regardless of which James Bond) than be forced to tangle with Captain James T. Kirk.
Damn…I knew I missed someone.
But then…well there’s always Khan. 
Dude … Kirk kicked Khan’s a**, both physically in the series and ship-to-ship in “ST2: the Wrath of Khan.”
Sure, he needed that club thingy to beat him, but Kirk does what needs to be done to prevail. Whether it’s get weapon, seduce an oddly-colored alien hottie, or use his signature move … the thing where he jumps in the air and kicks with both feet (TTWHJITAAKWBF).
No one can withstand TTWHJITAAKWBF. Superman maybe, but Kirk would have a chunk of Kryptonite for that little problem.
Yeah…only because he cheated.
Which is what makes Kirk the supreme adversary! He does what it takes to win.
Kirk is the Man.
And again, no one can withstand TTWHJITAAKWBF. It’s the
ultimate combat move of all time.
This past semester, one of the bonus questions I put on my Physics II final exam was Kirk in his prime vs. Picard, who would win? I added, “If you have to think about your answer, you’re probably wrong.” The students provided some colorful, correct answers, citing “because you believe it” to “Kirk is tha man” to “baldy wouldn’t stand a chance” to “Picard is French, and we all know what THAT means.” None were foolish enough to suggest the absurdity that Picard would stand a chance, much less prevail.
I have no idea who would be foolish enough to think Picard would kick Kirk’s ass.
I’ve met them.
It’s shocking to know people could actually believe such a thing, but then there are people who believe that Barack Obama supports their individual right to keep and bear arms too … because he said he did.
One way I know if I can ever be friends with someone is by asking them, “Kirk vs. Picard. Who would win?” If they hesitate, I have my answer. If they blurt out some foolishness about Baldy winning, well, I have my answer.
I’d have to go with Al Swearengen as he could probably win just on the strength of his breath.
I was also disappointed that no one pointed out that Chuck Norris would beat them all…and then Jack Bauer would beat him…

I notice that there are no litaray characters in the poll.
I would have voted for Honor Harrington,:eek: , she kicks ass and makes Kirk look like a pantywaist.
But, that’s my opinion and it’s just about worth as much as you paid for it.
You can find her in books written by David Webber, besides one of my daughters turned me on to the series since I like sci-fi so much.

Bob Lee Swagger, Jason Bourne, Riddick, Indiana Jones, Ash from Evil Dead/Army of Darkness, Insp. Harry Callahan… And I definitely wouldn’t want to go against the Hulk.
