Excellent, I have been looking around for reviews and they are few and far between. What I’m seeing is positive and the op’s rifle is what I’m looking at. Thanks.
My comments were based on what most all other AR manufacturers produce at a cheaper price point , that are supposedly “just as good”. I wasn’t saying this was the case with Sionics as I’ve never even heard about them when I posted that. After looking at there site and hearing about some of the people involved in it I would say they are a great deal all things considered. Based on the people that have provided input into there weapons, I’m confident that they’re good to go. It’s great to see another company building shit the right way.
Wasn’t the consensus that this is a gimmick?
I’m not trolling, I’m really asking, because I’m looking for a new bolt carrier…
I believe (I may be wrong) it’s actually Robars NP3 finish. It’s not really a gimmick, it just adds something extra without taking away.
That Robar finish is REALLY NICE on BCGs. Pappabear runs a few an they are impressive.
The cost isn’t worth it to me however. Robar’s “sale” price to to a BCG is about $100. Regular price is even more.
All the POF’s come completely NP3 coated and it’s been awesome! Just to test it out. I ran my first 1,000 rounds with ZERO lube and I never had a hiccup. It ran extremely smooth. I would strongly recommend a NP3 BCG. So much better than the standard.
Someone asked for photos of internals.
A star chamber is as hard to photograph as it is to clean!
Viewing on my phone which is tough but do I see a non M4 cut standard barrel extension in a M4 Feedramp receiver?

Heres a quick youtube review of the said “SIONICS Patrol III XL”, by somebody most here know. Just something i came up with my google-fu, if somebody is interested. Looks good to me.
That is what I see as well.
The cuts don’t look as defined as my other rifles.
My neighbor just bought a model 1 sales gun show special with deeper, better aligned, and more well defined feed ramps than that…
Update:
After posting pictures of the feedramps a few of you saw something I hadn’t noticed, the feedramps were more like rifle feedramps than M4s which extend past the barrel extension edge. I wasn’t that concerned since the rifle had functioned flawlessly. However, last night I got an email from the Sionics CEO. He said someone brought my pictures on this forum to his attention and in response they inspected all the barrels they had in stock, finding proper M4 feedramps on each.He asked me to send him photos of feedramps on the other five rifles we have so he can make sure they are also good. He wants to send me a new upper for the rifle pictured and any others that have the same issue and will cover shipping each way, sending the new upper first so we aren’t out a rifle for even a day. He seems like a stand up guy who will do whatever it takes to stand behind his product. I remain a satisfied customer.
At least CS is good, those feed ramps are incorrect. You have a rifle extension with M4 cut uppers.
I wonder why the person that assembled that upper didn’t notice?
And your point is what? He got a good upper but a shitty barrel, BCG, etc…
The same way loose barrels get by Colt or canted FSBs get by Daniel Defense, or unstaked carrier keys get by…you get the point.
At what volume are they producing rifles compared to Colt?
That’s not the issue. The issue is that humans are doing the work.
