Poland makes firearms training mandatory for schoolchildren

“Firearms lessons are now compulsory for schoolchildren - even at a young age. This is how Poland is preparing itself for a potential Russian attack. The children are enjoying it, and their parents feel proud.”

You know we had “Rifle Club” in my Mid-West High School for grades 8-12.
I think it was good for me, it definatly helped build my selfconfidence, attention to detail and disciplne.
I was blessed to be taught to shoot by a WWII Combat Marine.

Tangential… but is a Russian attack realistic? They aren’t exactly kicking ass these days.

Smart. Universal paramilitary training would be benefitable in a functioning society. Too bad we are well short of having one these days.

And Poland is now run by Leftists… shows how whack ours are.

The kid in the thumbnail is the only one who is not showing trigger finger discipline within the opening montage. I wonder who selected it.

Would love to see that here. The militia preparedness benefit would be pretty minimal if it was just safety and marksmanship, but from a public safety angle it might prevent some ND deaths/injuries.

Not sure how much LE would appreciate it. The bad apples would be better trained as well. Upside is the gangbangers might get better at actually hitting each other with less collateral damage.

If we make the Four Rules or something like Eddie Eagle part of basic Health Class, I see nothing but good coming from that.

How is “Stop, Don’t Touch, Tell Adult” or “Boogerhook Off The Bangswitch” bad, unless you’re a raving Mentally Deranged Hoplophobe? (Oh wait, that’s Dems…)

Gangs are receiving military training and have for quite awhile.

A large portion of le wouldn’t appreciate the type of person that tends to apply for a concealed carry license becoming more proficient based on observing 30 years of cries of “Blood in the streets!” from the le sector everytime some decriminalization of firearms possession and use by private citizens comes up.

Safety is about the only good thing NRA has ever done for American firearms owners, although I tend to view it as being a side benefit of their original, and main, goal to make armed branches of .gov more effective.
