Can someone send me a link if this has been covered or help me get info on what light i should run on my BCM. I’m looking at the surefire G2 or G2x. I hear the zebralight and Fenix’s lights are on par too
It seems to me that pretty much everyone worth listening to on the subject of weapon lights favors single mode lights which, unfortunately, Zebralight does not make. The G2 was a great light in its day and still has its uses but in my opinion weapon light duty is not one of them. The relatively low output, low run time and and fragile filament of the incandescent bulb makes the G2X Tactical (or aluminum bodied 6PX Tactical,) a much better choice than the old G2. You might also want to look at Surefire’s new P2X Fury Tactical which puts out more than twice as many lumens as the G2X and P2X.
Of course there are plenty of other manufacturers with lights worth looking at but without some more info such as intended use, desired features, etc. this could turn into a wall of text. Do you have any specifications in mind for this light, such as price, lumens, lux, number of batteries and of what variety, tape switch compatibility, runtime, color temp or CRI, where its made, etc?

Vtac and G2x has utilitarian truck setup written all over it (not bad). Lookin for smaller light and low profile metal mounts. Meh just me. Ive been say’n gonna due this for a while now…
Oh your good. That’s pretty much what i was thinking. I like the smaller lights too, i just don’t see allot of mounts to fit their thin body. And i don’t “need” excessive lumens, not that i have night vision or anything.
Yea, it is hard for someone to get their ideal light setup. Thats why the new members catch hell every time they ask"for the BEST light" mounting options. A light setup is as balanced setup as the rest of the gun. But you are on right track lookin for light first…Ya know the pistol light (TLR1s/X300) might be the answear for ya. Then you gottta figure out what position to mount it in…
