Kabizzles? Now I’m feeling bamboozled. I have not heard of this. I’ve always had good luck with the Bronze 55 grn.

I didn’t save any of the links, but I think it was probably posted on Barf. In the thread there was a comment about the incident not being the first Bango reported on the boards.
Is this stuff any good or taking a second look at?

I’ve got an upcoming carbine class at USTC and need some ammo. If this stuff turns out to be decent I’ll order a case.

I went to Cabelas looking for this ammo, but couldn’t find it. They have every other round there, but none of this yet.
They do however have pallets of PMC bronze.
I picked up 100 rnds to play with from Palmetto State Armory on Tues.
Went to the range and all went boom no problemo.
I fired about 100 rnds of Federal XM193 and 100rnds of the PMC X-Tac and the Federal seemed to be loaded hotter, but I don’t have any chrono data or anything to back that up. Just my impression.
No issues with feeding or extraction, not that I expected any. Shot close enough to point of aim at about 30-35 yds.
I’ve always had good luck with PMC and this was no different.

That’s good to hear since I have 1000 rounds sitting here waiting on me to “play” with it. 
I hope to try out some at longer range within the next week.

How was the accuracy? Did you happen to chronograph any of it?
shot 40 rounds of pmc bronze, 20 of some 55 gr remington, then 60 of pmc x-tac, I’ll be buying the xtac from now on. PS, If youre in the Myrtle Beach SC area, I dont remember the name of the shop but there is a gun store on 501 with an attatched range near the mall, dont waste your time going there. DPMS .223 rifles for 1200 $ and Bushmasters for 1600$. :eek:
I compared this ammunition against PMC Bronze .223, American Eagle XM193 5.56, Remington UMC .223, and a number of higher end rounds at the range tonight. This stuff is the real deal IMO.
Of the four “cheaper” ammo brands tested, I found X-TAC to be the most accurate/consistent; PMC Bronze and Remington UMC were about the same in my hands; and American Eagle XM193 was by far the least accurate.
Here are results from two different outings…
These were shot with a bipod and thats it. No bags or rests.
The last 180 rounds i have will stay in SHTF stash and out of my plinking stash. As you can tell, my rifle REALLY likes the PPU M855.
I’ll have to try some if I can find it in my area.
