Normally if this was a Ford or Chevy, I would be concerned…:eek:
But in this case, Magpul is doing this on their own to correct a problem that developed and that they found and corrected… And they want to improve the quality of their already great product… Vast improvement to a better version to the best overall! Magpul is the real deal!
Rich and his Crew are good folks and they will make it right…

Hope they dont lose too much money on these recalls.
Also, keep in mind that if you aren’t already having problems with your PMags it isn’t a problem that will likely develop over time. After talking with the folks at Magpul it seems a very few PMags were exhibiting sluggish feeding due to improper cooling of the mag out of the mold. It has been corrected and they are offering this voluntary recall so that any customer with any PMag issue has a chance to rectify it.

Is it a recall, or is it an optional exchange? There is a big difference in my mind.

Rich and his crew put out an awesome product, with their OUSTANDING Custom Service rather insignificant issues get treated like major ones. Unfortunately there always seems to be some that read more into it than there is.
I have some of the ealier mags – on a few the 26-30 rd is a tougher to load and if you push the follower it “rebounds” slower – however its not affected the performance of the mags at all in operational usage.
The Tan ones I have, are the ones with the smoothest action so far.
Exactly. I am running some older PMAG’s and have not seen any issues.

I just ran 500 rounds and used only 3 Gen 2 PMAGS and had zero issues. They load easy, feed smooth, and can be topped off to 30 rounds and still seat easily on a closed bolt. I dropped them repeatedly in the desert sand while doing reloads and malfunctions and they worked perfectly. I have to admit that because they looked like the old Thermolds I was hesitant to give them a try.
