I’m looking into ways make my addiction for ammo a little cheaper. I’m considering investing in a Lone Wolf barrel for a G22 to shoot cast lead bullets. I’ve found cast bullets as cheap as $61.00/1000. That’s half the price of the JHPs I’m using now. However, I’ve never loaded cast bullets before. Can someone recommend a good bullet for .40 S&W? My Lyman manual only has data for bullets cast from Lyman molds, and I don’t plan on casting my own bullets, yet.
I use “Meister” bullets.
Dillon used to sell them, and I used to live in Phoenix, so there were no shipping charges…

Hope this helps !!!
I tried oregon trail cast bullets in my M&P and they were very accurate and didn’t lead the barrel. I found that the cases wouldn’t last as long since I had to expand the case mouths more than when I used jacketed bullets. I have switched to montana gold and wouldn’t go back to cast unless I had to.
