Please help me make up my mind TR24 or NXS

Greetings,
I just finished a Noveske barreled Recce style upper. I want a 1-4x. I had a S&B which I regretfully sold a while back. I have narrowed my choice of optic to the Nighforce NXS or the Trijicon TR 24 (green triangle). I frankly like both of them. I like the TR24 as it is always illuminated. I really like the Nightforce though I don’t like the battery life. 5 to 50 yard shooting is most important to me though I’d like an optic that could give me the potential for getting the accuracy out of the Noveske barrel out to 300 yards or so. I know this is a boring post. I am just stuck and thought you guys might help me brake the stale mate. Thanks

Quite simply if you can afford the baby nxs…than buy it, if not a tr24g makes an excellent second choice. The baby nxs is more of the marksman type optic whereas the accupoint will be the faster on target optic. Both have fantastic actual glass. The nxs will be built a good bit stronger and it will be an overall more rugged optic imho as well.

It sounds like you would be better off with a magnifier / red dot type setup than a 1-4x.

If what you value most is beyond 50 yards, than I would say the 1-4 is the way to go. Or, if you had vision problems, then scopes/magnifiers with diopter adjustments are the heat.

Using a magnifier with a RDS will allow you to tighten up your groups and judge hold over better at distance.
