Please Contact Your Senators NOW Regarding Any & All Gun Control.

Hello:

Please Contact Your Senators NOW & Strongly Urge Them to OPPOSE H.R. 2640. Feel Free to Copy & Paste my letter below to your e-mail if your lost for words.

You can find your Senators contact info here. http://www.house.gov/writerep/

Dear Senator:

Please OPPOSE HR 2640 and ALL Future Gun Control.

Our Forefathers made the Gun Law for this Country and they made it & worded it the way they did for a very good reason!

The 2nd Amendment is in place & worded to Protect us from Tyrants like McCarthy, Kennedy, Feinstein, Scummer, Clinton, Obama, Kerry, Giuliani, Sara Brady, Pelosi, Ect., Ect., Ect..

We Will NOT Allow Another Weapons Ban & We Will NOT Allow ANY Further or Future Infringements on OUR 2nd Amendment Right to Keep & Bear Arms! This means Any & All Arms, NOT just the ones the Anti-Gunners feel we should be allowed to have.

Please Listen to Your People. We are Fed-UP with these Anti-Gunners and we’re Prepared to Fight Any & All Future Gun Control with All Our Might.

Please let your fellow Committee Members know just how Sick & Tired we are of these Anti-Gunners Attacking OUR Bill of Rights! And Please take heed, we’re prepared to lay it all on the line the next time we’re faced with a weapons ban! Their NOT getting by with it any longer.

Sincerely,

LOL, my senators are Hillary Clinton and Charles Schumer. My representative is Carolyn McCarthy and the mayor of that big city 50 miles away is Michael Bloomberg.

It sucks being stuck behind enemy lines.

I’m not trying to be a smart ass, but what do Senators have to do with a House Bill?

Oh, and my Senators are all too happy to disarm us peasants.

M_P

I’ve read the bill. I’ve reviewed current regulations. I’ve listened to arguments on both sides of this issue.

There’s a scene in “Blazing Saddles” in which the sheriff holds a gun to his head in an attempt to calm a restless crowd. He issues this threat (paraphrased):

“Don’t nobody move or the sheriff gets it.”

If I were to follow the advice of organizations urging opposition to H.R. 2640, I’d be doing exactly that – succumbing to histrionics and ignoring the facts.

I support H.R.2640, and my legislators know it.

YMMV.

I know many here are combat veterans, even if you have no military experience, it shouldn’t be hard to understand that many returning combat veterans suffer from difficulty sleeping and intrusive thoughts related to friends being killed, their own close brushes with death, or innocent civilians killed in the crossfire, etc. This is normal and one of the keys to dealing with this is to encourage these guys to ask for help when they need it, rather than having them maintain the tough guy image that goes with the idea that mental health care is for wussies, wimps, or crazies.

Adding the possibility now that a diagnosis of PTSD may disqualify you from ever purchasing a firearm again is one more factor that will steer guys away from seeking help when they need it.

OK, I’ll bite.

What facts are being ignored, specifically?
