I don’t know who to support since the Blue Jackets didn’t make it–anyone who thought they would make it this far this season after losing Nash and placing last in 2012’ is FOS. Oh well, they made a great run for it this year.
So, I guess I’m supporting the Sharks, since it’s my fiance’s favorite team.
I must agree that was quite a pounding, but I don’t expect that to be the experience in our next game. Two things occurred to me whilst watching the game.
It seemed that Evgeni Nabokov (Islanders netminder) simply had a horrible game. He gave up 4 goals in just a little more than the first 20 minutes of play. Hard for any team to overcome that. This is why Hockey is a best-of-seven playoff. You can afford one game like this each series and still triumph. Add that to Fleury and his stellar performance and YOU BETTER WIN.
One thing really struck me as odd. We were seated right by the Islanders goal. When the action moved to the other end of the ice Kevin Poulin, the replacement goalie, took time to move away from his net to clear a fallen stick. I understand the strategy of keeping the area behind the net clear, but it didn’t seem like a wise strategy to me at the time.
Ick, Evgeni Nabokov never recovered from that blast he got hit in the head with by Iginla. You could tell that rattled his cage and he never bounced back from it.
I can’t even watch the games because of the commentary. Henrik looking for Daniel. Daniel to Henrik. Henrik Daniel Daniel Henrik, the other 3 guys on the ice are scratching their asses, look at them go!!!
Bet they cuddle afterwards. Spooning is out so they probably spork…
Haha the Sharks were scoring tonight like it was a freaking video game. Logan Couture IMO is one of the most underrated players in the league, he is something special.
We won that game by the skin of our asses. We dominated in game 1 and then fell asleep at the wheel. On a lighter note did anyone see the Sens/Habs game? 232 combined penalty minutes it was a crazy game. With a heaping helping of fights.
