Looking at picking up a couple plates wanted some input/opinion, is it worth paying extra for shooters cut multi-curve or should I save the money and buy the single curve sapi plate. kicker is pretty sure I am a size medium plate and the single curve sapi only comes in small and large? plus they are doing 15% so its pretty attractive price point. Any other input welcome as well thanks!
whats more important? coverage or range of motion?
Swimmer/Shooter “cut” refers to a geometry change for increased range of motion at the expense of dropping some coverage area
I would research some more and figure out what size and role you want this to support
if it is a SAPI plate then it would be available in Medium… what you are looking at is likely a plate that is dimensioned along the lines of a SAPI plate
There’s a big difference in price and weight. You could go with the multicurve level III in a SAPI cut instead of shooters cut. That’ll be the same cut as the cheaper one but available in medium.
Personally, I’d go multicurve SAPI, though the shooters cut is tempting.
Yeah, I kind of like the idea of shooters cut. I also found these Velocity Systems LEVEL III/IV, ICW. for 300 each unless theres a code around for SKD tactical.

what do you think of these?
I am narrow shouldered guy who wears his plates higher. My experience is no issues with arm movement necessitating a shooters cut but some issues with plates to the trachea in some unusual positions, like back and front prone. YMMV.
