PK Firearms 7.5" Noveske Diplomat

So I’m wanting to buy a SBR setup. I’m going to send my Spikes lower off to have in engraved soon. I like the look and setup of the Noveske 7.5 Diplomat. Does anyone have one? If so any problems such as feeding? It will be used for fun and possibly self defense. Is there a reason I shouldn’t go with a 7.5 setup? Thanks guys.

Poor terminal performance and an increased chance of malfunctions are two big reasons why you really wouldn’t want to go below 10.5 for anything other than a plinker.

Thats what I was wondering. Originally I looked into a 10.3 Daniel Defense but liked how compact the 7.5 was.

I don’t even know why they make 7.5" barrels.

Cause they are fun to shoot empty milk jugs with.

They do look pretty freakin cool though.

I like my 7.5"- It hasn’t given me a lick of trouble. Accuracy is about the same as an average Glock, meaning it’s not good past 50 yards. It also works just fine with a suppressor attached, keeping the muzzle flash and noise to about that of a .22lr pistol. I do avoid using the can because I don’t want to erode the insides… But I bought them both to use them, so I do…

I bought a noveske diplomat bbl for my SBR and I am happy with it. It is very accurate. In fact, @ 130yds ( full length of my range) it’s more accurate than my 16" Colt barrels. I keep it loaded with BH 75gr HP for zombies and such, but I havent shot enough rounds out of it to say much about reliability. Out of the few hundred rounds so far, it’s had one FTF but I suspect the magazine, not the gun. I think if I did it over though, I would buy the 6.8 instead of .556. Ammo cost would be about the same, or maybe a few more cents per round than buying BH .556

To the OP: I thought SBR’s were a no no in Alabama?

If there’s one time to get a piston, it would be for a 7.5" AR…

I would go with an 11.5" or 12.5" if you want a DI setup.

If you are worried about terminal ballistics from a 7.5" barrel then just get your Diplomat chambered in 6.8 SPC like I did. With 90 gr. BTHP TNT’s I clock them at a little over 2,400 fps. More then enough to get the job done.
