Does any of the piston gun manufactures sell the parts to make one of my existing DI uppers a piston upper? Considering the barrel and upper are the same between the two (except for MRP types). Could I get the internals from a piston company and build my own? Thanks
Ares offers a conversion kit for carbines.
This replaces the gas tube and carrier with piston specific parts.
LWRC will convert DI uppers to their piston system. Same lifetime warranty as their factory rifles, too.
What about converting pistons to Direct Gas?
I’m not certain why you would want to but the only piston gun that can be converted (back) to DI is the LWRC.
Just to clear up a point, Ares is the only manufacturer that sells the parts to DIY. LWRC doesn’t. It has to be converted by them.
