That piston rifle wouldn’t survive the zombie apocalypse you fantasize about.
So let me get this straight my gun must look like this.
mine as well.
Or else I’m a retard. All my other AR are DI. I thought I would experiment with this build. But now that I have been schooled I shall make sure to conform to your standards. Bye the way I ran 300 rounds through it with zero FTF. But hay I’m sure the extra CCA stock that I had in my parts bin caused massive problems. Your right Mako grip doesn’t do what I want to. I apologize to all for not taking a screwdriver to it before taking the picture. Have a better one.
That plastic front sight will end up melting to that gas block.
I was concerned about that as well. But given that it that it is a dedicated 22 upper with no gas returning through the gas block I though I would take a chance. I have shot about 1000 rounds through it and no issues so far. Lots of metal to help dissipate the heat. My only problem with it is that I had to mount it backwards because it wouldn’t close over the foregrip.
Have a good one
Why not just take the criticism in a positive manner? What did you expect, fawning over your build? Forums are by definition and design, a public place for many people to talk. Don’t expect mass adulation.
Get some training, dude.
nevermind
in before the lock
Nevermind.
Don’t get discouraged by the comments you see here. But I’m sure even you have questioned the AFG/magwell grip thing and the practicality of it while shooting. If it works…well, than good for you. Be warned though, posting pic’s of your rifle may garner more critism than praise. Needs more cowbell.
to each his own…or something like that.
Actually I was looking to have a discussion over piston systems. CMMG is on their second generation. I have run some rounds through and like the change. I was torn between Adams arms and CMMG but I like the heavier recoil spring on the CMMG. But whatever.
No, mounting it backwards fixes that problem.
:sarcastic:
No where in your OP did you even hint at wanting to start a discussion about the AA & CMMG piston kits.
ETA: On the brightside, you finally started a thread that got some kind of response!
Seriously though… You have been a member on this board as long as I have.
Haven’t you read a single sticky thread?
Do you visit here often?
I would wager not.
Your rifle builds will be greatly appreciated on AR15.com, this forum is geared towards a different end user.
To the extent retard is synonymous with green. To find out for yourself is a valid reason for buying a piston. Take it out and shoot it. 300 rounds is nothing. 3K is a start. When it breaks fix it and use better parts. And don’t sweat the small stuff.
That gas block on your .22lr upper doesn’t look like same-plane as the upper receiver. What distance did you zero it at?
lol ![]()
I was going to say something but forgot what it was…speechless…:help:
Your thought must not have been important Mr Hands. If ever there was a thread that called out for such posts this is the thread.
