Pink Lady

The primary purpose of this build was to make an AR my special lady would find appealing and willing to go shoot yet be a quality build capable of hard use. Secondary purpose was to try out a few components I wanted first hand experience with. Also wanted ambi as she shoots lefty.

You need pink MOE grip and stock too.

I have those, she actually likes the contrast of the black and pink better.

If you put your face too close to the scope when you shoot, do you get pink eye?

That is awesome! My SIL loves the pink AR my brother built for her, but my wife told me her AR will be black.

The anodizing looks good. The configuration looks to be well sorted out

Thanks. I like the idea of the anodizing, from a durability aspect, and all three pieces were done together for the best match, but I suppose due to the differences in the parts there is a slight difference in appearance if you look closely. If it were coated it would be more uniform, but I don’t think the finish would be as durable.

Looks good. I’ve been toying around with the idea of building up a pink one for my “special lady” as well. Going to start with a M&P 15-22 and work up from there (she’s pretty sensitive to the noise . . . figure that’s a good excuse for a suppressor!). Figured I’d keep it black and add the pink Magpul furniture first.

I figure that if building up a couple pink guns would get her interested in going to the range and getting some trigger time, I’ll build a pink 1919A4 if that’s what she wants!

That’s been my thought process…if making her pink guns gets her interested, then its worth it. So far, so good!

And she is also very sensitive to the noise, and it has taken some time for her to get where she is willing to shoot ARs regularly, but we finally got there.

If it gets her shooting its worth it. Noise issue sounds like a good reason for a suppressor  My wife has the most fun shooting suppressed long range.
