Finally got a chance to pick up a Zero Tolerance #302 folder. Based on Military Moron’s review on his site, and good feedback from a few other owners, I figured I needed to give one a try. I have to say, it is everything that MM and others have said it is. Absolutely outstanding knife.
The grip shape fits my hand very well. Texture on the sides is very slip proof, without being harsh. The serrations on the top are really nice, and do a great job of helping prevent forward hand slip. Absolutely zero flex/play between the blade and frame. This is just an all around solid knife.
Just picked one up used from a member here. It’s the best knife I ever owned. I love the quick assisted open mechanism. The weight is perfect in my hand. This is a solid knife, it’s right up there with Strider, but much lower price. It’s now my everyday carry.
It’s one hell of a knive for the size and built very well. I needed somthing that you could have in your pocket and no one would notice… Very smooth assist open… also very fast… everything I was looking at was just to wide. If you want a nice low profile pocket knife that will last and take alot check out the KerShaw LEEK models… and the price is not bad at all, around $50 buck’s and you get one hell of a knife… You could pretty much call it a Auto but its not, it is just as fast though…
I currently carry an Emerson CQC-15 but have been looking at the ZT knives as a more dual purpose EDC/ skinning knife. Any input on the use as a skining knife?
