Just as the title says, I would like to see a Rifle Length URX-II with a 14.5" barrel.
I am in the planning stages of my next AR build. After following RetreatHell, markm and IG’s account of the BCM 14.5 Middy I want one for my own. I think the URX-II is about the sexiest rail in existence and after hearing about KAC’s new pricing, well it seems like a no brainer.
I haven’t seen one in that setup, but you’re right, it does seem like a no-brainer with the new pricing. Funny thing is that I haven’t seen them available at the new prices yet. BCM just re-stocked their 11.5" BFH uppers with middie URX and I don’t think the price went down at all. Rifle length URX on a 14.5" would be sweet!
Interesting. So barrel contour is that? How well does the CTR work with this setup? It almost looks like you would need something heavier out there to balance the front end out.
While I don’t have a 14.5", I just took delivery of a BCM 16" BFH middy with the rifle length URX II and I am running a CTR. It balances perfectally. The thing about the URX II is it is deceptively light. If you have never held one, it is shocking how that much rail can weigh so little. Deffinately a very sleek, well thought out rail system and I am hapy to have it. I especially like the intergrated front sight.
