I’m in search for a new cover photo for my next fiction Novella* and wanted something more action oriented than the last one. The pic attached is really cool I thought as an example, but I don’t own that pic and didn’t take it, so can’t use it. Just there as an example.
Does anyone have a similar picture, or other they think would fit they want to donate or charge a small fee for? I know we have a lot of people here who seem adept at taking cool pics that might work. You have to own it/have right to it, and it’s has to be a large enough/quality pic.
You might be better off commissioning the cover photo. Or at least buying it from a legitimate seller of photo stock. Lawyers are everywhere. It’s always less expensive to pay them before you need them.
I have access to various pics or can buy them yes or have the cover produced etc. But some times people take some great pics they own and took personally that breaks no copy rights of any kind they might get a kick out of seeing used for the cover of a book and or charge a small fee.
Google photo search “dsully composite photo”. Does great action shots. You could probably commission a custom photo at reasonable cost. He has a thread over on WEVO.

Good to hear! In the book biz they say “covers is what sells books.” Feedback on the cover of the first book was that it was not action oriented enough. I liked it personally, but wanted to make sure this next cover took into account the feedback, and she (my graphics person) did an outstanding job per usual. I’m also confident in saying those who enjoyed the first one, will like the follow up even more.
