I think I’ve seen it on here a while ago. Someone had an LMT 10.5" upper and SOPMOD lower in a pelican case and I can’t find it now. Really curious if anyone here remembers what I’m talking about or if I’m thinking about another site.

It was a laptop case I think… hiding their SBR “in plain view.” The upper and lower were disconnected, with a little room near the right hinged corner for a 30rd magazine or two. I’ll keep searching. Maybe the owner will chime in. I just recall it being an LMT SOPMOD lower and a 10.5 upper with a DD handguard and perhaps an aimpoint? I’m wanting to do the same with mine.
ah… i think i misunderstood. just browse their website- whatever they have is in there. if they dont have anything already cut out for your needs, get one with un-cut inserts and do it yourself
My laptop case would happily accomodate a 10.5" carbine in halves, and the pick’n’pluck foam allows this flexibilty (especially with optics, furniture up front)
I have a Pelican laptop case I use for my GSG5-K model. It holds the GSG, suppressor, and some mags.

That was mine. I sold that upper so I haven’t been using it. I’ve got an 11.5" URX II upper now. I need to cut some new foam. I miss having the case. It works really well for plain sight hiding. It has an integrated lock to keep curious people out. I used to lock it to the framing under my back seat so I knew it wasn’t going anywhere. It also fits a lot of place a larger pelican wouldn’t. Thanks for the motivation. I’m ordering foam now. Some more pics.

The case pictured was a 1495. The upper in the pictures was an LMT 10.5".
I’ve set my 11.5" in and while it was obviously tighter, it should still work ok.

You should see my botched attempt at the foam in the Starlight case for my 700LTR.
I either need a lightsaber or a laser…plucking is not good to me.

Hate to bring up an old thread but I am taking a trip soon and need a case for Airplane Checkin. Like teh pelican cases too… but
Anyone know what size I will need for a 16" barreled AR!? Brokedown with the Stock Collapsed like shown above. Would like to get teh smallest case as possible…prob need to set it in at an angle too!?

I could only find a 1490. You think an 11.5" SBR would fit okay? The inside measurements are 17.75" X 11.37" X 4.12". About an inch shorter, an inch and a half narrower but about a half inch thicker than a 1495.
Well, I can tell you for a fact. A 1490 case for an AR platform SBR is not big enough. But it does make a very nice pistol/revolver case. :rolleyes:
I used a hot wire foam cutter I built. There was a big thread on arfcom with instructions. Sorry but I cant remember the thread title.
