Is there a thread like Ultimate case list or something? I searched and couldn’t find anything. My search-fu could be weak though.
What I am looking for is a thread or list with what case size everyone runs for like a 14.5 to 16 barrel carbine and a 20 barrel rifle (AR for my purposes) or MBR. Also what case is the best for a 20 inch to 26 inch bolt gun and 18.5 and 22 in Shotgun.
I like it! A hard case thread on brands, pictures, sizes, how to cut the foam, inserts, etc. Good idea…:big_boss:

I use a Pelican 1650 as my traveling range container. Makes trips to classes and shows much easier than carrying multiple bags, rifle cases, tools, etc. It gets heavy once loaded, but is more easily transported by just rolling it where I need it. I’ll see if I can find some time to take pics of it loaded up.
My 1750 is fairly light by itself, but somewhat cavernous when transporting AR’s in a broken down state - my herd of three rifles has logged thousands of miles in that thing - I’ll probably get a second so that I can carry two and two without breaking them down.
If they ever release a version with velcro lining on the inside, I’d be all about that - if I was able to secure rifles and small cases inside, as well as use velcro straps to keep their new pick’n’pluck foam in place, that would be my ideal solution.
While we are waiting on pictures, how many use a storm/pelican with the nylon insert as to the foam. The only example I can think of is the Larue Tactical storm case that comes with a nylon case that fits inside it. I believe its in the $350 range.
It looks alot more practical compared to cutting the foam and being stuck with that outline.
