I remember him as one of the first detectives in Law & Order before he found his niche playing mobsters. RIP.
He was in Goodfellas before Law & Order, he played both mobsters and cops prior to that including Streets of San Francisco and a spin off, plus The Oldest Rookie.
He was a hell of a guy.
Twice his daughter was in trouble with guys. Once when his daughters life was being threatened he got to the scene before the Cops, the guy gave himself up. The second time he found out Harvey Weinstein had blacklisted his daughter for not giving it up. He said he would be happy to kill Weinstein himself if he didn’t go to jail, but he would die in prison in a wheelchair.
Now I gotta turn my back on ya.
When you think about it, Goodfella’s really was wall to wall talent.
They say these things come in three’s, DeNiro (78) and Pesci (79) need to be careful. Hard to think of them as that old.
