sweet rig!!!
This is my first AR build, and since I’m going to be using it on the job I wanted to make sure it was quality.
I’m lucky enough to work for a dept. that issues rifles to all employees, but after seeing multiple jams and failures of the dept. rifles in our 1400 rd training course (including a broken bolt in my new-out-of-the-box issued rifle), I decided I wanted to go with something more dependable. I also realized that a flat-top SBR is much more practical when getting a rifle in and out of a car and searching houses than a 16" with a carry handle.
After doing a little online research and talking to people far wiser than myself, this is what I came up with. It ultimately cost a bit more than I originally planned, but I’m a big believer in “cry once.” I appreciate all the posts that helped me make the decision!
