I have been searching some, but really dont want to mess this purchase up. My build is a range, accuracy, reliability rifle. Its my first AR build. I am using a full rail setup with BUIS front and rear with a crosshair 1-4 x optic.
Here is what I have so far:
Franklin armory billet lower
Vltor MUR upper (the basic upper, not the full length monolithic type)
Magpul UBR stock.
Definite parts to aquire:
Daniel Defense BCG
Daniel Defense Gov Weight hammer fordged 16" mid length barrel, with pinned on Vltor Low Profile gas block
Some form of keymod freefloat handguard, I like the Midwest Industries with its QD sling points, which will go well with the Franklin lowers sling points.
Sights and Optics im not sure of. I need the research to get a cowitness setup, but I am not sure what I want with that either. However its a moot point really, since I want some sort of 1-4 X scope (such as a nikon p223). The scope is gonna have a quick detach mount, hopefully.
What I need to know about is the LPK. I want quality parts, and dont want to spend money on gimmicks. I am going to use the trigger setup that comes with the kit, and keep it for other builds when I swap over to some type of after market trigger setup. Such as a Geisselle trigger.
So I want to spend the extra coin on a better quality LPK. I am leaning towards a Colt kit. But Just wanted to make sure that there wasnt something better in the same or lower price range. Same thing with an upper parts kit, but I am working on getting the LPK first. Should I stick with colt, or should I look at a few others also?
Thanks for any help.
