Palmetto State Armory torture test video

I’ve searched the net on their build quality and reliability but this is the closest I could find. Anyone have any links etc for a PSA torture test?

I wouldnt call a beta dump or any series of mag dumps “torture tests”, I would much rather see it go through several classes in varrying weather/conditions with log books and records of any issues along with accuracy tests.

I think the ultimate issue is these are new and the people who would normally do the above are generally content with BCM, DD, LMT, Colt, etc.

Well when mine gets here I’ll let you see how it shoots! Have a Strikefire carbine on the way should be here Friday!

I have an FN 14.7" middy from PSA, so far so good. But I have not put it through it’s paces yet and thus held off any recommendations or conclusion.

Agreed. I wish PSA would put out something.

I don’t. I wish an independent individual/group/other would put something out. Anything put out by PSA themselves would simply be viewed as an advertisement.

Cool vid for sure, always nice to watch someone else abuse there rifle,LOL !!! Here is a small sample of a PSA 16 Inch Upper. A shooting buddy has one which he bought the complete 16 Inch Upper & mounted it to a lower he had. Its been a great rifle so far,he had put over 1K through it of various brands,Wolf,PMC,LC,AE etc, also a few hundred of my reloads. All has gone well,we also took a Carbine Class on Dec 4th & all ran great !! It was called Carbine 1&2 so it wasn’t a high volume shoot, but we went through 500 rds or more (All Wolf) with no relubing or care during the day. Not a “Huge” test, but its a start I think !! I shoot with this freind 90% of the time,so I will keep ya updated on how it all goes, but so far so good !!

Here is the torture test they should do… or test I would like to see them do to one of their rifles.

I would have liked to know what the rifle measured out at at the end of that abuse. I doubt that barrel was straight, and how easily it would break down and reassemble.

No doubt, quality enough to go through all that and still go bang…accurately.

As much as I love DD, I have to say that their “torture” test video is more of a test for the AR15 design itself rather than THEIR particular rifle. I’m sure any AR, even an Olympic, could pass the same test.

I shot a tactical with a brand new out of the box (cleaned and lubed it) standard M4 16" about 650-800 rounds without any problems. Broke it down and examined it with no unusual wear. Not to say it was anything extraordinary since my nephew did the same did the same thing with his DPMS M4.

I’d be content if they kept thier word and were more forthcomng.

Pesonally, I can’t trust liars. It’s bad business.

What did they lie about?

They personally lied to me about features available. They publicaly offerd me one thing, then privately rescided the offer. I said that I didn’t want it unless it came how I wanted, and then had the nerve to charge me a “restocking fee” on something I never got and never shipped - hell, was never even built! A “restocking fee” on vaporware!

They’ve earned my distrust forever.

That’s disappointing to hear. They’ve botched two of my orders, but they always made up for it.

Put this one together for my neighbor last night. Gonna get it out and shoot it over the coming weeks and he will be joining me for a class in January. Will do a review afterwards. Still awaiting delivery of a Vickers sling and BUIS.

Maybe not exactly. It did ALSO confirm that the AP T1 is amazingly durable and possibly worth the bucks. It also put an end to any notion that the Omega X rail system is anything but robust - if there were such notions.

But, it did bolster my trust of the AR as a system.

True. It became more of an advertisement for the strength of their mount and the micro than the weapon.

Steelonsteel was not lied to. He misinterpreted this post:

We have triangular handguard caps on order for those of you who would prefer them over the round style.

We did not have them in stock at the time of his purchase (and not for another month or more after the order was placed). I should have been more specific about “on order”, so that it was not mistaken.

Steelonsteel, I am sorry that you feel you were lied or mislead to. Our goal is to make sure every customer is happy and satisfied with their purchase. The “restocking fee” is more of a processing fee, as we are charged a percentage per transaction even if the order is cancelled. Again, I want to apologize for your dissatisfaction in the matter.

When I ordered I did so because of the quality parts and NDT that was done to the barrel/bolt. A few days later BCM finally had their BCG and upper I wanted in stock, I immediately tried to cancel my order with PSA since BCM had a great reputation. Needless to say after reading the 5% restocking and adding up the difference between the 2 companies I was still getting a better deal with the almost complete package from PSA. Needless to say after running my PSA rig in a tactical I knew I made the right decision staying with PSA. You guys really need to do a “Filthy Fourteen type Video” I’m sure with the quality components your using it will come out as good as BCM, but on the down side it would send your order wait time through the roof. At the very least put all the rumors to rest by disclosing who you get your LPK, barrels, BCG and bolts from instead of “we buy from a Mil-Spec MFG who supplies S&W etc” :p. Yup I’ve read you can’t do it legally but some more hints would be great.
