Painting the Dimpled Part of the Barrel

So I bought an Aero Precison CMV barrel and dimpled
the barrel myself. Is it necessary to paint the dimpled
spot to avoid corrosion?

A drop of cold blue on a cotton swab would do the trick.

wouldnt worry about it at all.As soon as you tighten the set screws down what ever you fill it in with will be gone anyway

Just use some Perma-Rust. It will be fine.
