Like the title says…
I occasionally see “gloss” versions of the “matte” scope that I want.
I don’t want a “gloss” scope on my rifle, so I’m thinking that I could buy it and then de-grease it and then spraypaint it matte grey or black.
Of course I’d cover the lenses well, and the turret caps seem to seal airtight (there are rubber o-rings).
Is there any reason that this wouldn’t work?
