Paint scheme patterns

What are your methods for creating any kind of patterns on your paint schemes?

I see you’re in Florida…

Hit your local dive/fishing shop and pick up a mesh bag.

Here’s a very good thread on how to paint your AR in multicam using Krylon. He did an excellent job. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=4665&highlight=paint+multicam

Here’s another thread with other great paint ideas. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=10905&highlight=paint+multicam

I use a snipers veil, hit it once with Dark Earth and once with a light green. Krylon rules.

krylon and a mesh dive bag

Krylon = total awesomeness in a can

I used leaves and pine branches from the backyard and moved them around and held them at varying distances to give the pattern a hard or soft edge.

do you guys use Krylon Fusion or regular Krylon camo paint?

my krylon camo paint said it had the fusion stuff or something like that in it

Michaels and other fabric/hobby stores have great meshes and patterned stuff to spray through. $5 will get you all sorts of patterns to try and practice with.

I just use the krylon ultra flat camo paint.

Some of these paint jobs are awesome. My concern is getting paint where it shouldn’t be, like in gaps around the trigger or mag release and charging handle. Is that a valid concern? Nevermind. I’m not about to do it anyway.
