Check out this video from the state of Pennsylvania in which they overtly use the latest in Big Brother technology – along with the added threat one would associate with drone warfare – to threaten delinquent taxpayers.

I saw that about a week ago and thought it was a spoof too. Sadly though its a real ad/warning. I guess this stuff comes with the territory, since soon we may be living in a scientific dictatorship anyways.

Of course the gov/state gov will react like this.
This stuff is nothing new. It’s just shocking for some people because the commercial is so blunt.
So long as you pay bills, pay car insurance, pay for internet, phone, drivers license, etc, etc, etc, you will forever be on the grid.
Nobody is hidden, and hasn’t been even as far back as 30 years.
The only difference between today and yesteryear is that it’s alot easier for the public to get/steal personal information from you today.
I think the whole satellite imagery scares the shit out of people.
News Flash: Google did not invent satellite imaging.:p:D I’m sure they just made the existing pictures available. (which were possibly government owned at some point in time…99.99% sure.)
On the subject of taxes…how the hell does a person owe the government taxes? My taxes get withheld, then I file them in the beginning of the new year, then I get money back! How does a person end up having to owe the gov money? Claiming too many dependants? etc?

Do you have kids? A career with incentive comp based on some form of merit pay? Deductions and contributions that vary from year-to-year? Unforeseen financial issues related to your business dealings…? There are many many ways one might owe more than he/she had withheld during the year. Unless you have a CPA on retainer, it can be hard to plan perfectly for your total year-end obligation.
