If you have read my other forum reviews, I’ve pointed out my background of being a tactical paramedic, full time leo, and generally a gear whore. Recently I took a keen interest in updating all of my medical supplies, pouches, IFAK, etc.* A pretty neat new pouch that John over at OSOE sent me was the TK-4 Self Deploy Pouch.
The pouch fits the Tourni-Kwik (TK-4) Combat Tourniquet. Quick caveat, I don’t think you will find anyone who would advocate or otherwise endorse the TK-4 over mechanical advantage tourniquets such as the CAT, however this is an excellent backup TQ.
Here is the product info direct from Original SOE website:
As you pull the tab and lift the TQ deploys out and into your hand. very small and compact. We see a lot of guys attach these on their weapon slings and we offer several weapons sling that have them sewn in place.
Specifications:Genuine 1000 Denier Cordura nylon.

As you can see, the pouch is quite small.

I’m working on a solution to mount this to my concealed body armor. I wear a mic strap and I will try threading it on there. Pictures to follow if successful.

To deploy the TQ, all you do is pull on the red strap

On the back of the pouch is 3 loops of vertically-oriented molle.
Any equipment that Original SOE puts their label comes with a lifetime warranty. I’ve owned a few pieces of their gear and it is made, just as John says, bomb-proof. I’ve ran quite a few different med pouches over the years and I continue to be impressed with Original Special Operations Equipment Gear.

I appreciate all the likes I have been getting on my Facebook page. If you haven’t already, I would appreciate a like.
As always, post any questions, comments, or otherwise concerns.
Thank you for taking the time to read this review!
