Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I live in Silverton and know Stu. He’s extremely intelligent and a lot more conservative that you would think. I was at a party at his house a few months ago and heard him say the “Who else thinks that Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms should be a convienence store?” line. (We also shot his spud gun in the back yard.)
He spent no money on his campaign, all the yard signs for him were homemade by the people who put them up in their yards. He won 55% of the vote in a three way race.
He’s served on the city council for the last few years and has saved the city a bundle of money.
None of his policy makes it into the news story, just the fact that he’s an open transvestite.
