OPS Inc M4S

Does anyone have some time with/around one of these suppressors- preferably on a 10.5-12.5" SBR?

What was your overall impression?

your best bet would be to talk with the folks at ADCO. I am sure they have used and abused that can.

Still waiting on the stamp for mine (on a 10.5" w/ Brake) - extremely light and compact (barely feels different than a KX3 on an 11.5"). No way it’s hearing safe, I still expect a good deal of blast and flash to be coming out the front. On something that size I’m just trying to limit concussion for indoors without adding a lot to the length (still fit in a sneaky bag).
I’ll probably end up putting my 14th can on the 10.5" unit and moving the M4S to my 14.7" or Mk12 clone.

Even after the tax stamp (nearly as much as the list price), it’s a very affordable can, but it only makes sense if you’ve already got a 14/15/16th, or have a 12th and want to run something shorter (will need a collar spacer). If you’re starting from scratch, on an SBR the Surefire Mini may be a better choice - I’d ask Grant how he likes his.

Once I’ve got my stamp collection in order, I’ll be posting information (mine is an exact clone of Grant’s SBR, but set up for an M4S/14th can), and for experience on it, ADCO, TheAccuser, and Technique (on LF.net) are your best bet.

Just got mine about a month ago. Setup on my 10.5 LMT MRP. Only been to the range two but I absolutely love it. I was blown away by how much of the concussion is taken away by this little can. Anyone already using a Ops 14th, 15th or 16th should definitely pick up this little can especially for the price.

Having heard both, I’d recommend a SureFire Mini.

Though I really love their FA556AR more. (The full size suppressor.)

What’s the POI shift like?

I havent really measured the shift. It was around an inch to the right just like my other Ops cans. I am going to the range this up coming Friday and I will try and get that for ya.

would this make a 16in gun hearing safe?

Nope. I can shoot my 16" guns with my Ops 16th without hearing protection but just as a precaution I do use it.
