This petition would require that politicians must fall under the same health care plan as everyone else:

Congress has exempted itself from provisions of the Affordable Health Care Act. If the provisions of this act were designed to benefit the American people and mandatory participation is required of the ordinary public, politicians in Congress should not be exempt.

The interesting thing is that I found the link on the Facebook page for Hobby Lobby

The next petition is to eliminate armed guards for the President and Vice President.

Gun Free Zones are supposed to protect our children, and some politicians wish to strip us of our right to keep and bear arms. Those same politicians and their families are currently under the protection of armed Secret Service agents. If Gun Free Zones are sufficient protection for our children, then Gun Free Zones should be good enough for politicians.

I think it should be further generalized: no special provisions for govt officials or employees. Not only the same health plan and lack of personal security detail, but same retirement qualifications and plan, same paycheck deductions, no protection from arrest while going to their office, no pass on parking fees, etc. No special privacy protection.

That is, they should eat their own dog food. Every law they pass should apply to them equally as it does to non-govt businesses and private individuals. If they pass laws that put the boot heel of govt on the neck of the citizen then their necks should feel the boot heel as well. No guns? Fine, then no guns for your security detail, that is if they can afford a security detail with their own money.

Agreed. Any further gun control laws should remove any exemptions for politicians or any security detail assigned to protect them. No exemptions for the Secret Service, LE agency or private security and they must follow all state and local ordinances, including when over-seas. We can no longer afford the politicians special exemptions when they are working so hard to take away our liberties

We already have a Govt run heath care system, The Military one. The Govt officials should have to use the current Military Hospitals, and when they get out they should be required to use the VA systems.
