? on shoulder shotshell bandoleer

Question on a 55 round shoulder shotshell bandoleer. Have 2-point sling on my shotgun and since I am right handed I have the sling over my left shoulder.

If I wear the bandoleer on my support shoulder and then switch the weapon to the support shoulder the bandoleer, sling and weapon is a mess.

My question: is there a preferred shoulder to have the bandoleer, or is all personal preference?

People still use bandoleers? I only bought one 15 years ago to cut into sections that fit in my load bearing best magazine pockets.

I would imagine if you wear one it would need to be on your non-dominant shoulder to avoid interfering with the buttstock of your weapon when shooting.
