Was watching this with the wife and laughed when I saw the ND. (Blanks of course)
Wife doubted it but playing it back provided proof.
When the Indians are crossing the river to get at the Searchers John Wayne’s character tosses a revolver to a guy whos own revolver just ran empty.
He throws it to the guy who throws his hat back at Wayne. He then cocks the hammer with his finger on the trigger like a dufas with gun at his hip and the gun fires.
Wayne is looking at him like “what the…?” But the guy recocks the gun, takes a deliberate aim with the gun now at eye-level, and fires towards the distant Indians.
Just something I’d not noticed before. Probably shoulda edited that out.
