I went out to show a friend how to clean his Oly Arms.

The takedown pins were so tight that I had do drive them out with a Delrin dowel.

I didn’t have a spare pin with me but I lubed and moved the pins back and forth repeatedly. That loosened them up on left side but I would have to lube a spare pin and work it back and forth on the open side of the lower to make it workable.

I told him they should be able to move with his thumb nail, not a punch.

My Noveske and Daniel Defense rifles both required a punch until I’d shot them a bit.

What’s the point of this thread???

Brand doesnt matter for the question about pin tightness. They will loosen up with time. Be sure to remind your friend that the pin fit is the least of his worries.
