I’m getting ready to install a side sling swivel on an M4 clone, and want to remove the standard front sling swivel. Drilling out the rivet on the standard sling swivel mount will NOT compromise the security of the FSB, will it?
No… just removes the swivel… drill away.
I just use a small punch (1/16") and hit it with a small brass hammer (on the concave side of the rivet), it’ll usually force it out the other side.
