They will do back orders sometimes, got to pay attention with them. But yes as others have said, the past is checkered with bad business. I do not make any important purchases from them. I have only ordered mags and it has always been a good experience for me.
I’ve ordered from Botach three times, each time 10 of the original 30-round mags in dry lube grey. I choose the standard shipping as it’s free. Usually takes ten days or so to arrive but that’s okay by me as I’m just trying to build my cache. I haven’t tried the newer E2s yet but will at some point. I just get the original for nostalgic reasons although I’m certain the new design is good to go.
I’ve only ordered from Botach a few times, the last two orders being for the E2’s. Happy with the mags and my orders arrive here in middle Ga within a week.
I’d heard the horror stories too, but have been extremely pleased with the promptness of my orders.

No, they’ve been doing 6-packs of the standard Surefeeds for $55 and E2 6-packs for $59.95 for a while now. I ordered two 6-packs of standard Surefeeds from them (12 for $110 shipped) about two months ago. I’ve ordered mags from them 2 or 3 times in the past two years. Great prices, and I had no issues with my orders, but if you’re someone who gets anxious if your order doesn’t ship the next day, I probably wouldn’t recommend them. I’m not in a rush when I pick “standard” free shipping.
As far as the E2s go, I think they’re great quality mags, but it’s kind of just fine tuning an already outstanding magazine (the GI / Surefeed design). The texture is nice, but I think I’d have to get my gear and the mags wet and muddy to see if it makes a difference in terms of handling the mags. I’m not a fan of the way the GI tan follower switched the top round to the opposite side - I was just used to the original orientation after a couple decades of using GI mags, so it was intuitive when I check to see if a mag was full or if a round had chambered. The E2 continues this opposite orientation with their improved follower.
I’ve only had the chance to shoot one of my E2 mags (it’s been a busy year) with mixed results. About halfway through the magazine, I thought the bolt had locked back, but it turned out it had driven the tip of the round straight into flat face below the feed ramps, jamming the bolt open. This happened twice more before I finished the mag. I’ll caveat this by saying that I was test firing my old Bushmaster that I recently overhauled, So it could have been the rifle, which doesn’t have M4 feed ramps. However, I had shot a Lancer, a TangoDown, and an original PMAG through it before the E2 with no issues. I’m going to shoot this particular E2 and my others through this same rifle and others before I pass judgment. I’m sure it was a fluke, but it was surprising.
