OK...Now pick the one you won't leave without.

Here’s mine:

Ya’ gotta have an answer to this!

Don’t have one yet (that’s why I’m here—to do some research so I know what I want).

But my answer to your question (at least right now) is my Colt Gunsite 1911. Tracy

…can’t leave with just one!

Colt Mustang. It goes pretty much anywhere I go. I work up from there based on the proposed itinerary.

+1million:D

Kel-Tec P3AT that rides in a K&D pocket defender. Don’t leave home without it!

Leave the house with just one gun?

That’s . . . crazy talk!

C’mon you guys…You have to Pick!

Let me frame this for you.

You have to vacate immediately. You cannot take your vehicle. You have to consider all forms of survival…Man, Beast, Food, and “Armed Combat” will be eminent.

You are a bachelor, with no spouse or kids to “Hump” any other weapon or ammo type.

I guess it’d have to be my AR then, and well this is M4Carbine.net afterall. I was gonna say my 870 as it may be a better food getter but if armed combat is eminent I think I’d have to go with the AR. I would hope to at least be able to bring a pistol too as I wouldn’t have to tote it with a holster. But if just one, it’d be the AR. Large mag capacity, faster reloads, reasonable against two legged threats, reasonable game getter large or small (the deer here aren’t that big but they are abundant!), and there aren’t many beasties in SC that it wouldn’t dispatch or dissuade. I can find ammo at Wally or most any hardware store or hunting/fishing supply. Although the 870 fits most of these too, the larger mag capacity, faster reloads, and ability to easily carry ammo on my chest rig give the nod to the AR.

My SLR-107CR once it’s finished

Ditto. Sounds like it would have to be a rifle under those parameters… AR15 carbine.

I think this is the 3rd or 4th thread I’ve seen this picture in tonight:D

Pay no attention to the Glock it’s just another accessory to the AR.

I usually seem to have this one with me, I see no reason to change now.

Sorry, I know this is M4Carbine.net, but I’ve got mad love for the 20" anymore. My shorties are fricking great, and I enjoy shooting them, but this one is the one!

I ran the shit of of this upper today on a friends RDIAS host lower and it never failed.

I suppose that would be my USP-C .45 since I rarely go anywhere without it.

Well, the U.S. military seems to think the Colt M4 is the basic “do it all” weapon so who am I to disagree? 6920.

Well, I don’t see why I would remove things (i.e. handgins) from my person that I already carry every day to leave for an emergency! It doesn’t make sense to me.

And if I can’t take me vehicle, I’m not going far anyway. On level, solid ground (like pavement) I might get 2-3 miles before I pooped out. Overland, it would be a small fraction of that.

If the question is what ELSE would I take with me, it would be either my house gun or my truck gun (ARs).

Yeah…we both need to get a life!

Exactly. One of my coworkers calls me a rolling felony stop because I have so many firearms and ammunition with me in the vehicle.

Hey man the zombies are coming and I’m just prepared damn it!
I just watched 28 weeks later and they’re damn fast too! :stuck_out_tongue:

How do you store them in the vehicle? I’ve been considering a locker of some sort for my Xterra to store guns/ammo along with warm clothing, first aid kit, water, portable jumper kit, etc.
